Structure of the NCSC Project Report

To successfully submit a mini-research project at NCSC 2026, students must strictly adhere to the following project structure guidelines:

i. Cover Page

Must be written in English or Hindi and include:

• Title of the project
• Name and address of group leader and co-worker
• Name and address of guide
• Name of the School/Organisation with full address
• Project Code: (State Code followed by Number, to be put by coordinators after submission) on the top right.
• Language: Prominently written below the Project Code.

ii. Form - A (Registration Form)

Download Annexure I from the national portal, fill it, and attach it here.

iii. Abstract

Must be written in English. 250 words for the lower age group and 300 words for the upper age group (Format in Annexure II).

iv. Contents

List of chapters with detail headings, sub-headings, list of tables, charts, maps, etc., along with references against page numbers.

v. Introduction & Hypothesis

Introduction: Background of the study, relevance to the focal theme, rationale, and social context.
Hypothesis: Written clearly in one or two sentences.

vi. Objective(s) & Methodology

Objectives: Written clearly point by point (not more than five).
Methodology:

• Experimentation: List materials used, explain treatments/controls, provide labeled sketches, and document steps with photographs.
• Survey: Describe methodology, sampling procedure, sample size, and attach the questionnaire.
• Case Study: Focus on a specific area/community to understand issues or impacts, involving process documentation.

vii. Observations, Data Analysis, & Results

Observations (qualitative/quantitative) must be noted. Data must be tabulated and analyzed using simple statistical tools to recognize patterns. Final results should be presented in structured tables and graphs.

viii. Conclusion & Solution

Derive logical inferences from the results. Once the problem is understood, propose one or more possible solutions to the community.

ix. Future Scope, Acknowledgement & References

Explain how this research can be continued in the future. Acknowledge everyone who helped, and provide a bibliography of all books, journals, and articles consulted.
